my life is anything but exciting. for example, i just spent like an hour playing minesweeper. which makes the 2nd hour ive spent on minesweeper today. thats a lot of mine sweeper.
i just reached a point where, i guess i just realized i play way too much minesweeper. so maybe i ought to start a blog. surely that would be more productive than minesweeper.
the other thing i do a lot is sit in the computer lab. which actually coincides with my minesweeper time. it's pretty boring really. right now there are a few girls in the corner. theyve been there for a while and apparently theyre doing a project on STD's and giggling uncontrollably at the pictures theyve found. i cant help but find this ironic because the pictures at which they laugh will no doubt be their fate.
normally it's not this eventful. normally it's just a few old people who have come back to college because they "always wanted a degree," struggling for hours with some useless spreadsheet for computers 101; a class that will soon be null and void in their lives. also i restock printer paper
every now and again, chancey drops by which is usually the highlight of my day, right next to getting my favorite parking spot which usually only happens on friday. whenever she come by it's pretty nice because i have something fun to distract myself with that isn't minesweeper or other peoples lives.
speaking of other peoples lives, let me express my hatred for most people in the E building now. as the reader is probably aware, E building is the building designated for computers, networking and of course, game design. do you remember that kid in your class who was in band, probably over weight, and always wanted to "make video games" when he grew up? every one of those kids has flocked to surry for the game design program. granted, north carolina has a pretty stellar game design thing going for it. but let me assure the reader now that no one in this building is going to do anything productive in that field.
lets go back to the band kid for a minute. remember when theyd get asked "whadda ya want to do for a living?" ill bet the answer was never "lighting" or "mission development". it was always "i want to make video games." thats these people. they have no plans for life. they see video games and they think "ahh thats fun. i enjoy that. oh look surry does that. cool" and unfortunately life is not that simple. these men (and occasionally women) are so misguided and blinded and will undoubtably (with the rare exception) be met with the depressing realization that they have not taken a serious look at their lives for the past 6 or 7 years.
yes, these are the people that walk around wearing fedoras, fingerless gloves and hoodies with skulls on em. i salute you.
but life is really not that bad. i just feel the need to complain about that stuff every now and again.
